GATER WRITER DON
POST Longtime Gater writer Don Post passed away Sunday afternoon, January 24th of congestive heart failure after a long illness. Don was one of our most valued contributors and will be sorely missed. Our deepest sympathies to the Post family. Don's son Rich is also a Gater contributor. God Speed Don we thank you for all your efforts on racings behalf. Joe, Norm, Donna, Anne, Suzi and the Entire Gater Staff Members DIRTcar Racing Community Grieves Passing Of Race Reporter Don Post Weedsport, NY January 25, 2010 - From Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing Northeast PR Director World Racing Group officials and the entire DIRTcar Racing Northeast staff extend their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of long-time race reporter Don Post from Clifton Springs, N.Y., who passed away from congestive heart failure on Sunday afternoon, January 24. Don has been writing about the Central New York circuit since DIRTcar Racing started out, noted Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing Northeast Public Relations Director. ³He was the first to cover the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman champ trail on a regular basis and was a long- time contributor to Gater Racing Photo News and DIRT Trackin Magazine in its infancy. If there was a race to go to, Don was one of the first to get on the phone and find a way to get there. Services for Don will be held at Patrick's Funeral Home on Main Street, Clifton Springs, NY. The calling hours will be Thursday from 4pm-8pm and the funeral service will be Friday 11am at the same location. |
